programs (e.g. dance classes, yoga or pilates) are available at community
centres and via private centres
Swimming and water play is great exercise and a lot of
fun for both kids and parents. Children can start swimming lessons from 6
months of age
Play groups are active and social for children and parents
Sports clubs are a great way for children to take part
in regular physical activity, learn about team play and socialise all at the
same time. Many clubs also offer children’s participation programs
(e.g.Auskick, NetSetGo and Hotshots) to introduce young children to their sport

socialise, make new friends and get some exercise all at the same time
